Fiji

I will be staying in Suva Fiji for 4 days.
Here is some info on Fiji...

Geography:
- fertile soil
- it is slightly smaller then New Jersey
- tropical marine temperature

Culture:
- easy going environment
- it is customary to present a gift when visiting a village

Economy:
- it has suffered since the 90's, low world prices, drought..
- tourism and mining are very important
-it is one of the main trading partners

This is Colo-I-Suva Forest Park. It offers beautiful scenery and waterfalls.

This is the Wilderness Ethnice Adventure where I will be taking a gorgeous trip down the water.

New Zealand

I will be staying in Wellington New Zealand for 4 days.
Here is some info on New Zealand...

Geography:
- has 2 large islands (north and south)
- it is the size of Italy and the United Kingdom
- the northern islands are volcanic active
- there is 30% forest, meadows 50% and cultivation 20%

Culture:
- people enjoy traditional and contemporary arts
- folks enjoy carving and weaving
- it is an oral culture so there are many ancient stories passed down
- they speak the Maori language

Economy:
- based on its support from from its agruicultural system
- it has not been doing that great but it is slowly getting better

I will be staying at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Wellington. Here is what it looks like...

This is the Wellington Zoo. There are many animals kept here, with some of them being endangered species.

This is the Museum of Wellington City and Sea.

This is the Staglands Wildlife Reserve. They offer tours and walk throughs of the beautiful scenery and animals.

This is the Southward Vintage Car Museum. It has a large variety of older vehicles, making it a must see for me.

Australia

I will be staying in Canberra Australia for 4 days.
Here is some info on Australia...

Geography:
- it is the 6th largest country in the world
- it has a dramatic landscape
- a vast majority of the continent is dessert, which means it is dry and barren
- there are also grasslands, mountains and beaches

Culture:
- it is a liberal and comprehensive society
- both Eurpeans and aboriginals live together
- it has a very diverse culture
- since the Europeans arrived in Australia, it has become very Americanized

Economy:
- one of the largest growing economies in the world
- has the 13th largest economy
- in 2010 the average GDP was US $882.344 billion

While I am here, I will be staying at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra. Here is a picture of what my hotel room will look like...

With my four days in Australia, here are some of the sight seeing attractions I plan on visiting..

This is the National Botanic Gardens. It offers a wide variety of native plants and helps preserve plants that are becoming extinct.

This is Lake Burley Griffen. I plan on biking around it and enjoying its beautiful scenery.

This is Black Mountain Tower. There is a restaurant located in in which I will of course, be checking out!

This is Big Splash Waterpark. It has a ton of waterslides which I will be enjoying in the sun.

Where Am I Going?

I'm planning on traveling to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. The following blog is about what I plan to do on my trip.

I will begin my excursion by flying to Canberra Australia. From there, I will fly to Wellington New Zealand and finally, Suva Fiji. For each stop, I will be needing just my passport.
